Blizzard is rolling out the red carpet for Overwatch 2’s anniversary by introducing the brand-new Hero Mastery mode. This captivating single-player experience revolves around navigating courses, taking on training bots, and collecting emblems. The icing on the cake? It’s entirely free! So, if you’ve been squirreling away your in-game currency for a stylish new skin, you can leave your coins untouched.

In this mode, players will traverse courses brimming with obstacles, jump pads, and a diverse array of training bots. These bots aren’t your run-of-the-mill variety. We’re talking about Rocket Bots that unleash hazardous projectiles, Sniper Bots with pinpoint accuracy, and Tank Bots that can absorb substantial punishment.
Moreover, each hero boasts unique abilities that can earn you bonus points. So, mastering these hero-specific skills is paramount if you aim to reign supreme on the leaderboards.
Currently, Hero Mastery mode offers courses for Reinhardt, Mercy, and Tracer. However, brace yourselves because Winston and Sojourn will be joining the fray later this season. Achievement hunters will have an opportunity to reap some enticing rewards by mastering all three courses for a hero, including an exclusive Name Card and Player Icon. Furthermore, players can snag limited-time rewards such as a Weapon Charm, Souvenir, Spray, and Title.
