Unbelievable: Nintendo’s Game-Changer Revealed – You Won’t Believe What’s Coming to the Switch on October 20th

Starfield

Starfield may have just landed on Xbox Series X, and as a die-hard Bethesda fan who adores the Fallout series, I’m naturally drawn to it. There are unmistakable Bethesda vibes in this game, which is precisely why I’m excited. However, there’s a dilemma: now that the sun has made its appearance in the UK, I find myself more inclined to explore the great outdoors than embark on another sprawling open-world gaming adventure filled with endless shooting. This is precisely why I’m eagerly anticipating Nintendo’s upcoming major release for the Switch on October 20th.

Super Mario Bros Wonder was unveiled during Nintendo’s late-August Direct showcase, and I’m in awe of how confidently Nintendo can defy industry trends. Wonder is a side-scrolling platformer that I believe will become a future classic. It’s brimming with references to the Mario games I cherished during my 90s childhood, and there’s no expansive open world in sight.

What truly captivates me about Nintendo is not only their ability to tap into nostalgia, but also their commitment to keeping the Nintendo Switch console alive. Despite countless rumors about an impending Nintendo Switch 2 that could potentially outshine even the mighty Sony PS5 in terms of power, the release of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom just a few months ago and the promise of Super Mario Bros Wonder in 2023 demonstrate that the Nintendo Switch is having a monumental year.

Don’t get me wrong, I understand why Starfield has been generating so much buzz, even though it hasn’t achieved universal 5-star acclaim among critics and users – Metacritic currently stands at a respectable 87/100. I suspect it will be a game I delve into more deeply down the line when I have the time to fully immerse myself in it.

But let’s circle back to Mario. Whenever Nintendo has previously introduced side-scrolling platformers like Yoshi’s Crafted World, they’ve consistently delivered ingenious game designs with universal appeal. I’m thrilled to see that the Nintendo Switch still has more to offer, and Wonder could be the system’s ultimate 5-star smash hit. I can hardly contain my excitement to dive into this game.
