Prepare for a trip down memory lane as the iconic Call of Duty map, “Rust,” makes its triumphant return in the highly anticipated Modern Warfare 3 beta this October.

In a thrilling announcement, the official Call of Duty Twitter account has revealed that Rust will be a major highlight at COD Next. This special event is set to kick off just one day before the first beta weekend for Modern Warfare 3. The excitement doesn’t stop there – renowned figures within the Call of Duty community, including the prominent leaker el_bobberto, have confirmed that Rust will be featured in the limited map pool during the beta.

PlayStation users who have pre-ordered the game will have an exclusive opportunity to participate in the first beta, scheduled for October 6th and 7th. Following this, the beta will open up to all PlayStation users on October 8th and 9th, with a second beta weekend available for all platforms from October 12th to 16th.

While the return of Rust alone is enough to spark excitement among fans, there’s even more good news. Activision has recently confirmed that all 16 launch maps for Modern Warfare 3 will be remastered multiplayer maps from the beloved 2009 title, Modern Warfare 2. Additionally, expect new maps to be introduced throughout the game’s life cycle, likely as part of exciting season updates.
