Watch Dogs Legion – A Beginner’s Guide & Requirements 2022

Watch Dogs Legion has been released and although it may look like just another installment in the Watch Dogs series, it isn’t as simple as that. While there are many returning aspects to this game, there are plenty of brand-new things to get to grips with, so if you’re just starting and you have no idea where to begin, or if you’re wondering whether Watch Dogs Legion is worth the buy, then you’ve come to the right place. Here’s everything you should know about Watch Dogs Legion.

Beginner’s Guide

Watch Dogs is an open-world, third-person shooter video game set in a fictionalized version of London. The game is the fourth installment in the Watch_Dogs franchise and was developed and published by Ubisoft. In Watch_Dogs Legion, you play as a customizable character who joins London’s criminal underground to exact revenge. If you’re new to this game and need an ultimate guide you have come to the right place. Here are some of the things you should know about the game.

PLAY WITH PERMADEATH ON

Watch Dogs Legion is an open-world game with permadeath. In other words, your operatives will die permanently in-game after taking lethal damage. This means you need to be careful in every situation, from driving and shooting to stealth. But it also adds a new layer of tension when playing through the story missions and side-quests, as you know your team is only one bad turn or decision away from death. For players who are used to playing games with light death penalties like dying and respawning, the shift in perspective might take some getting used to. Luckily, if you’re not sure how much time your group has left before they’re gone for good, there’s always a countdown on the bottom right corner of the screen that tracks how many minutes they have left before they’ll be permanently dead. It also tells you how many ‘Bodies’ they have left in their squad.

DON’T SWEAT YOUR FIRST DEDSEC AGENT CHOICE

Choosing your first DedSec Agent might seem daunting at first. You’ll be presented with a few different agent types and some of them will probably sound more appealing than others. Don’t sweat it, you can change your agent type at any time later on in the game. What is important is to find one that suits your playstyle and then choose the outfit that matches it. After all, this is your DedSec agent so they should represent you! If you want an agent who deals more damage or runs faster, selects a combat class such as Assault or Sharpshooter. If you prefer precision aiming skills, go for something like Recon or Enforcer instead.  There are many reasons why it’s worth considering giving Watch Dogs Legion’s multiplayer mode a try, but perhaps the most obvious one is just that it’s lots of fun to take part in.

SCOUT AND SAVE CONSTANTLY

The whole point of Watch Dogs Legion is that you can play virtually anyone you run into on the street. The name, profession, and list of qualities for a character are displayed while you hold down the button (L1/LB) on that character. Some of these characteristics are undesirable, such as Doom, which leads a character to die suddenly and without cause. However, some characters have several fantastic advantages, such as extra gadgets and improved stealth.

You must complete primary plot missions in Watch Dogs Legion to liberate London from its oppressors; otherwise, you will run out of time. However, if you come across a character that you like, you can press and hold a button to save them as a future recruit. When you’re ready, you can complete their assignments to bring them into the DedSec family and create a mission objective to find them again.

Gadgets, Upgrades, Hacks, and Weapons Apply to Your Whole Team

Gadgets, upgrades, hacks, and weapons all apply to your whole team. You can equip a teammate with a weapon or give them a utility gadget like the Mobile Hackpack. When you find an upgrade that you want to apply to your whole team, just select it from the Upgrade Tree and then press Apply (or press X on Xbox One or Square on PS4). To use this new gadget or upgrade, you’ll need access to all of the skills needed for that gadget or upgrade to work. If you’re missing one of those skills, then your teammates will not be able to use it either.

Make Use of CARGO DRONES?

You’ll come across a Cargo Drone in Watch Dogs: Legion within the first hour or two of the game. Without any character enhancements, it is possible to hack these drones. They are designed to pick up items and drop them on foes, which is cool. However, should you fly them low enough for you to board, they are also big enough for surfing—much cooler.

These cargo drones allow you to travel anywhere, including halfway across the city or onto rooftops. Watch Dogs: Legion, it’s the best mode of transportation. Even better, after completing a few missions, you’ll be able to unlock a construction worker.

If your drone becomes damaged too much, just hop off and let it fly back to its original destination–usually a small platform with crates containing supplies. If that doesn’t work, there’s always the parachute option from an airborne drone! It may take some time before you have many options for customization as well as unlocked abilities like hacking drones/vehicles/electrical objects and planting explosives.

Leave The Work to Your Robots

Although there is no right or wrong way to play Watch Dogs: Legion, using robots will let you play lazy (or smart).

All characters have access to the Spiderbot device, and some characters have drones as a part of their identities. Together, these resources can provide extremely secure gameplay. Our preferred method is to use a Cargo Drone to fly over an area while dropping our Spiderbot into the base we need to assault

The Infiltrator Spiderbot is capable of almost everything you are, including direct-interface hacks and stealth takedowns. And if your Spiderbot malfunctions, you only need to wait a little while for it to restart. The spiderbot will save your agents if you’re playing a permadeath game. Even if you’re playing on normal, it’s preferable to destroy a Spiderbot than to have your top agent get detained for an hour.

FOCUS ON DISRUPTING THE BOROUGHS EARLY ON

Disrupting the Boroughs early on has a few benefits. The first is that the Disruption mission requires the least amount of time for hacking, and for some players, this may be their only source of income before they can get to the other side of London. The second is that Disruption missions are straightforward and quick to complete (the longest ones take about 15-20 minutes). This means you’ll have more opportunities to disrupt enemies without making any mistakes. Finally, disrupting the Boroughs will cause less chaos when you go back through them later in the game because there will be fewer enemies roaming around.

Put Your Weapon Away

By pressing the left trigger or left on the D-pad, you can put on your DedSec mask and equip your weapon. The mask and rifle may make you appear menacing and cool, but they also draw a lot of unwelcome attention to you. But if you press down on the D-pad, you can instantly lower your weapon and take off your mask. While your character won’t take off their mask if the police are after them, doing so in London is a smart way to blend in with the rest of society.

You can either disguise yourself as one of 20 iconic characters or by changing your hair color, face paint, and clothes. Every time you change up your look, it changes the name that appears over other players’ heads when they see you in the world (and vice versa).

Conclusion

With Watch Dogs Legion, you can play as anyone from a skilled hacker to an elite soldier. The game offers up a ton of customizability, so you can control the difficulty and gameplay type to suit your needs. You can also take on quests solo or with friends in multiplayer. All in all, Watch Dogs Legion is a great option for players looking for something different than the usual open-world game. It has plenty of customization options and high replay value. If you’re interested in getting into hacking or taking over Chicago like DedSec, then this is the game for you!
