For the first time in Call of Duty history, fans will experience all-new content created specifically to enhance the multiplayer experience with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 and Stimulus Package! While millions have enjoyed the critically acclaimed campaign and multiplayer action, Season 1 brings something completely new to the table for players to experience and enjoy. Here’s what you can expect from Modern Warfare 2 Season 1.

New Maps in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 1

Two maps are being provided. One of them is Shoot House, a Modern Warfare 2019 fan favorite. It will appear as soon as season one premieres. Shipment is the second map we have, but it won’t arrive until mid-season. The precise release date is unknown. Shipment is a map whose game play we are already familiar with, but it won’t appear for a few months after the premiere of season 1. When this does happen, there’s going to be a big twist. You’ll find that the warehouse you’re in will change its layout from time to time. Sometimes it’ll be filled with crates or other supplies – sometimes you’ll find yourself running through corridors or an open space.

Spec Ops

The special operations star has been reset, and moving forward, they will follow a cycle in which you can earn new stars around every week or so. As a result, you can access additional classes. A new Special Ops operation named High Ground is also coming to us. This mission’s objectives are to discover and remove three hard drives containing crucial enemy intelligence, destroy opponent messaging servers, and deactivate radar jammers, all while fending off a relentless onslaught of insurgents who want nothing more than your death! 

Raids

With the release of season one, we will finally learn more about what raids are. It carries on the Modern Warfare 2 campaign’s narrative. With a blend of stealth action and mystery solving challenges, trios will face their greatest struggle yet. It will resemble a zombie Easter egg, but with a more Modern Warfare look. Each round in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 has its own obstacle for players to overcome that changes game play for the following round.

New Weapons

First, and maybe most clearly, Modern Warfare’s Season 1 release will add four new weapons. Two of them will, as always, be free Season 1 Battle Pass unlocking.

Victus XMR – The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Campaign has featured this sniper rifle. It’s a powerful long-range bolt action gun with amazing accuracy in the proper hands. Acquired with the Battle Pass.

BAS-P – a gas-powered SMG renowned for its great consistency and minimal recoil. The BAS-P can be configured in a variety of ways, giving users the option to decide how to use it. Obtained with the Battle Pass.

Chimera – The Chimera is a nearby assault rifle that features an integral silencer with increased supersonic bullets. Accessible through a weapon challenge or store bundle.

M13B – The M13B is a partially automatic carbine gun that can also shoot selectively. It has a rapid firing rate and little recoil. Unlockable through a weapon challenge or store bundle.

Operators

Alongside Season 1, there will be a number of new Operators that may be used in both Warzone 2.0 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 1.

Activision has confirmed the MW2 release dates for Messi, Pogba, and Neymar Jr., three soccer players. And more football legends than just these ones will be at the game.

Zues – By acquiring the Season 01 Battle Pass, Zeus (Zosar Kalu), a member of the Nigerian Army Special Forces Battalion, will be instantly unlocked.

Klaus – In his own reveal photograph, Klaus Fisker—a legend of the Danish Elite Special Forces recognized for possessing natural night vision—has been strangely deleted. In the mid-season update, the forthcoming Operator will be released as a premium bundle.

Gaz – Finally, Season 1 will also see the introduction of Gaz, Price’s who’s right-hand man as well as a member of Task Force 141. In the mid-season refresh, the forthcoming Operator will be released as a premium bundle.

Prestige System

Finally, a healthy middle ground is emerging in the prestige system. At the start of each season, many have been requesting the more traditional prestige system rather than rank resetting. When season one is released, reaching level 56 will qualify you for stage one, prestige levels two and three are locked at 100 and 150, respectively, and prestige level five is 250. This marks the level maximum for season one. Therefore, your rank won’t reset because we quit using the conventional prestige system. For example, when season two arrives, you must complete chapters four and five in order to maintain your stealthy prestige. It appears that each season, the maximum level cap will increase. It’s a good middle ground between the current season model and the outdated classical prestige system.

New Modes

After all, many players found it extremely disappointing that the harsher mode wasn’t accessible on launch day.

A track list of competing maps, modes, and rulesets called CDL Moshpit will also become available. Before Ranked Mode makes an appearance in a future season, this will give fans an opportunity to prepare.

This season, Activision is also ultimately removing the Combat Record from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, enabling players to view their in-game statistics. These Tokens are able to open nearby Sectors or to redeem rewards inside a Sector that has already been accessed. Players can choose to unlock the Battle Pass weapons, new Operator Skins,or anything else they may be interested in!

Owners of the Vault Edition will receive accessibility to the Battle Pass as well as 50 free tier skips to expedite their completion. But PS4/PS5 players will have access to an extra 5 tier skips thanks to one of the new PlayStation Exclusive MW2 features.

Modern Warfare FC event
