GameStop and The Pokemon Company have joined forces to offer a special Tera-type Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet via an exclusive code.

Initially, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet faced criticism, but they have since gained immense popularity, with sales surpassing 22.66 million units.

As part of a Halloween promotion, an Electric-type Tera Mimikyu will be given away, and Mimikyu will also feature in Halloween-themed Pokemon cards.

A new collaboration between GameStop and The Pokemon Company will grant players access to a unique Tera-type Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet using a special code. Typically, Tera-type Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet are encountered through raids or rare random encounters in Paldea. However, this opportunity allows players to obtain a limited edition of this creature.

Released at the end of 2022, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet initially faced criticism for a few bugs and performance issues. Nonetheless, developers have diligently improved the games over time, leading to widespread acceptance. To date, these titles have sold over 22.66 million copies, solidifying their position as some of the best-selling games in the franchise.

Now, The Pokemon Company has announced the distribution of an Electric-type Mimikyu for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, facilitated by codes provided by GameStop. This offering is part of the Halloween festivities promoted by both companies, running until October. The unique creature will be obtainable through the Mystery Gift feature, but only players in Canada and the United States are eligible. Specific details regarding the promotion rules and code usage limitations are yet to be fully disclosed, so Pokemon enthusiasts should anticipate further information soon.

However, this isn’t the only appearance of Mimikyu during the Halloween season. The character will also take the spotlight in special Halloween-themed Pokemon cards. These cards are part of the Halloween Jazwares calendar box, which will include miniature versions of the charming Pikachu-like ghost.

Mimikyu originally debuted in the seventh generation and is a Ghost/Fairy-type Pokemon available in both its normal and Tera-type forms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Currently, the only Tera Mimikyu in Scarlet and Violet is a Fairy-type version found in North Province Area Two, making this Electric variant an exclusive addition.

Aside from the Halloween promotion, fans of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have more to look forward to. The upcoming The Teal Mask DLC, the first of two expansions, is set to launch soon. The Teal Mask expansion will introduce various new features for players, including additional TMs and enhanced customization options. Some of the new TMs include Burning Jealousy, Grassy Glide, Lash Out, Poltergeist, and Toxic, providing gamers with an expanded arsenal for battles.
