Apparently, characters like Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Red Hood are preparing to make their debut on the Switch, a year after a somewhat lackluster release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.

The first hints of this development emerged when the game received a rating for the Nintendo Switch in Singapore. Furthermore, it’s not just a random listing; the ESRB website also shows the same rating, adding weight to the possibility.

However, skeptics have reservations about Gotham Knights’ transition to the Switch, especially considering its performance on platforms like the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. The Batman: Arkham games set a high bar for what players expect from the Dark Knight on any platform. Those who eagerly anticipated playing as a member of the Batfamily were disappointed by the dated gameplay and mediocre graphics of what was meant to be a next-gen title. The contrast in gameplay and quality was jarring, reminiscent of a Joker jumpscare from Batman: Arkham Asylum. Overall, Gotham Knights felt like a step backward.

Given their extensive experience, Gotham Knights doesn’t appear to be an insurmountable challenge—it’s almost like betting against Batman at this point.
