Cyberpunk 2077 Update

Cyberpunk 2077 enthusiasts, rejoice! The latest 2.0 update is here, and it’s packed with two brand-new arcade games, expanding on the success of the Roach Race addition from last year. Prepare to be captivated by the thrilling gameplay of “Trauma Drama” and the intense nostalgia of “Arasaka Tower 3D,” a boomer shooter clearly influenced by the iconic Doom franchise.

Unlike Roach Race, these arcade games are accessible at your leisure, but you’ll need to hunt down the arcade cabinets scattered throughout Night City. Exploring this vibrant dystopian landscape, you’ll quickly discover that Trauma Drama is the more accessible of the two. There’s even an arcade cabinet conveniently located in the bustling Kabuki market early in the game for you to dive into. On the other hand, locating Arasaka Tower 3D, a more expansive gaming experience, is a challenge in itself. It’s a rare find, with possibly just one cabinet hidden somewhere within the vast city.

In Trauma Drama, you’ll step into the shoes of a Trauma Team operative, battling enemies and rescuing patients in a retro-style platformer. In true Trauma Team fashion, you must be relentless, eliminating anyone who dares obstruct your path to the client, considering they’ve paid for your exclusive services.

Arasaka Tower 3D, however, has quickly become a fan favorite, and the reasons are abundantly clear. Not only do you get to assume the role of Johnny Silverhand once more (albeit in a unique format), but the game offers an exhilarating throwback to the days of classic Doom mods. It also provides a fascinating glimpse into the world of Night City, where Johnny’s rebellious acts have been commodified and turned into a video game, removing all traces of his original ideology and significance. Considering the initial futility of the attack, it’s a thought-provoking twist.

So far, players have reported discovering the lone Arasaka Tower 3D arcade cabinet near the “protein farm” fast travel point, tucked away from the typical exploration paths. Since the developers have evidently concealed it quite well, there’s a chance that more cabinets are awaiting discovery, though, unlike Roach Race, you won’t find them in your apartment.

These arcade games are just a taste of the exciting content introduced in the version 2.0 update, and fans have been buzzing with enthusiasm. In fact, as we reported earlier today, Cyberpunk 2077 briefly surpassed Starfield on the Steam player charts, drawing players back to this nearly three-year-old classic to experience the latest developer innovations. With the upcoming story expansion, “Phantom Liberty,” launching on September 26, the future of Cyberpunk 2077 remains as intriguing as ever.
